According to Engadget, an email has been sent out to buyers of the NVIDIA Shield handheld gaming console. This comes after the launch was delayed past its late June launch due to a third-party mechanical problem. The NVIDIA shield is an Android gaming system much like the OUYA. The retail price is $300 which makes its still $50 more than the PS Vita.
Personally, I feel that the Vita is a better option because its not only cheaper but is geared better toward hardcore gamers. I just can’t see the NVIDIA Shield being a worthwhile gaming console especially when a better and even more attractive gaming system is cheaper. Not to mention, the Playstation 4 is set to debut this holiday season and it will only be $100 dollars more than the Shield.
What do you guys think? Is a $300 Android gaming system worth your money?
