According to some estimates from Samsung and Apple, it has become clear that Samsung is beginning to dominate the smartphone market. This news comes after both companies released estimates for their Q2 2013 sales with Samsung selling 71 million smartphones which more than doubles Apple’s 31.2 million phone sales.
This could partially be due to peoples’ reluctance to buy a new iPhone when a better iPhone 5S is just around the corner, but that still does not explain the entire story. Is Apple really loosing it’s ground in the smartphone industry?
As seen in the graph below, its clear that these two companies dominate the mobile market with Samsung taking a huge chuck of overall sales. Will the same happen to Samsung when the next iPhone is released?
