Battlelog for the next entry in the Battlefield franchise will allow players to use their mobile phones and tablets as second screens that can interact with the game in real time. Check out the video below to see the trailer.
This is a very interesting concept, and is a great alternative to those who don’t have enough money to buy the second screen peripherals for the Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4. Being able to see in game information in real-time during games will add a new tactical aspect to the game… especially when looking down at maps and “being able to call attack points”. I also think that the ability to change load-outs, see what you’re friends are doing, and completing challenges will help get the community more involved in the game. Let’s hope that it all comes together seamlessly when the game is released… too many times before have I seen companies try to innovate only to fail because of poor execution.
