Things are starting to look good for Amazon’s entry-level Kindle Fire! At only $159, this tablet beats out most of the competition in value and affordability; and while it doesn’t match the specs of its bigger-more-expensive brother, it certainty didn’t get left behind in it’s shadow.
According to BGR, trusted sources say that the tablet will feature a 1.5GHz dual-core TI OMAP 5570 processor with PowerVR SGX544 graphics. Yeah, they are still using Texas Instruments chipsets.. but early prototype benchmarks have revealed the bump in processing power has almost doubled its scores.
The new Kindle Fire will also utilize 1GB of RAM, run on Android 4.2.2, and even run with a HD display with an impressive 1280 x 800px resolution.
With all these specs and a $159 price point, what else could someone want? We may have to keep our eye on the Kindle Fire.. nothing beats affordability with minimal compromise.
