The Scoop: ASUS comes back to the mobile arena with another ZenFone packing quite a huge punch. Sitting pretty with 6GB of RAM and a Snapdragon 821 processor it can safely be crowned as the most powerful smartphone released to date.
The Fuss: The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the first phone on the market packed with the Snapdragon 821 processor. Breaking down the device by its pure specifications (no fluff included) its clear that ASUS means business.
CPU: Quadcore Snapdragon 821
GPU: Adreno 530
Display: 5.7″ 1080p Super Amoled w/ Gorilla Glass 4
Storage: 64GB, 128GB or 256GB expandable via Micro SD (up to 128GB)
Battery: 3000mAh (non-removable)
Wireless: 802.11b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, and Dual SIM card support
Camera: 8MP front, 23MP rear
From a specification standpoint the device really sets the bar high for flagship devices this year. That coupled with what might be one of the most attractive designs of 2016, we have a device that might actually give the Android giant, Samsung, a run for their money. We’ve seen OnePlus make a dent in the Android scene with cutting edge design and affordability – it wouldn’t be a long shot to say that ASUS might finally have a winner on their hands with the ZenFone 3 Deluxe (arguably at a much higher price point though).
No official launch date or price yet but ASUS has done a good job presenting the phone in all its glory on their official ZenFone 3 Deluxe landing page. Give a look to see what all this fuss is really about.
